Betty Jane Looney Stacy, 84, of Sparta, passed away Sept. 2, 2005.
Stacy was born May 28, 1921, in DeKalb County, to Charlie and Lela Pearl Steele Looney.
She had been a homemaker.
Stacy was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, May Robinson, Anne Turner; and three brothers, Ernest Looney, Monroe Looney and Reed Looney.
Survivors include her husband, Joe C. Stacy, of Sparta;
five daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Jim Bandy, of Nashville, Louise and Keith Girdley, of Sparta, Wanda and Sammy Brown, of Lavergne, Fay and Richard Denton, of Murfreesboro, Debbie and Billy Rice, of Wartburg;
three sisters, Virgie Lewis, of Quebeck, Ruby Turner, Pearl Turner, both of Sparta;
nine grandchildren, Chad Bandy, Tina Girdley, Denise Colwell, Christopher Brown, Seidina Eubanks, Richie Denton, Stacey Weaver, Brandon Rice, Dillon Rice; and
six great-grandchildren, Bailey Bandy, Morgan Scott, Drew Scott, Ciera Brown, Cirsten Brown and Alexia Eubanks.
Arrangements:
Services were Sept. 5, 2005, at Hunter Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery.
Olan Basham and Derrick Coble officiated.
