On Mar. 25, 1807 at Brooklyn, Martha m. Solomon Williams, twin child of Dr. Thomas Williams and Rebecca Wells, b. Aug. 29, 1783 at Lebanon, Conn. He. d. Oct 25, 1875 at Manchester, Conn.
According to a lengthy sketch in multiple publications regarding son James Baker Williams, the family consisted of ten children, the oldest nine b. at Lebanon, Conn. at their father's paternal homestead, the youngest at East Hartford, Conn. At page 178 of Stephen W. Williams' 1847 published "Genealogy and History of the Family of Williams in America", the author provides the birth dates of ten children ranging from Rebecca Wells Williams on Apr. 22, 1807 to Martha Huntington Williams on Mar. 12, 1828, but does not include Samuel Porter. However, none of the children have actual recorded birth dates. Otherwise, they appear in the baptism records of the Lebanon Congregational Church as follows (surname Williams):
1. Rebecca Wells, bp. May 17, 1812; supposedly b. Apr. 22, 1807.
2. Solomon, his child [Lucy Devotion] , d. Sept. 29, 1811, AE 1-1/2 years; supposedly b. in Dec. 1809.
3. Thomas Scott, bp. May 17, 1812; otherwise claimed b. Jan. 20, 1814.
4. Samuel Porter, bp. Apr. 2, 1814; not included in the 1847 genealogy.
5. Sarah Trumbull, bp. Mar. 24, 1816; supposedly b. Jan. 18, 1816.
6. James Baker, bp. May 10, 1818; supposedly b. Feb, 1818.
7. George Wells, bp. Dec. 5, 1819; supposedly b. Oct. 18, 1819.
