William C Northcott was the 9th of the 10 children of Richard Northcott and Hannah Hanns Braund. He was born in Tetcott, Devon, England as were the eight before him. The family emmigrated to the United States and it was in Racine , Wisconsin,and the last child was born before they moved to Juneau County.
He was the brother of: Robert, Thomas, John H, Betsy Ann, Richard, Mary Jane, Hannah Marie, Charlotte, and James.

William married Evaline Bires of Wisconsin ,July 28, 1883.

They had 3 sons..Leonard William b 1885, Charles H b 1890, and Bertram Robert "Bert" Northcott b 1895.

William was a farmer in Fountain Township, Juneau County, Wisconsin.

William Northcott, a pioneer resident of this vicinity, died yesterday afternoon at his farm home a few miles south of town. Mr Northcott had been ill for few weeks and his death came as a great shock to his relatives and friends. He was aged about sixty years Mr Northcott is survived by a wife, three sons, Bert, Leonard and Charles; three sisters, Mrs Chas. Sherman of Elroy, Mrs Sherman Brownell of Mauston, Mrs George Cann of Washing ton, three brothers, Richard of Morris, Minn, and James and John of this vicinity.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at two o'clock in the home.

WILLIAM NORTHCOTT
William Northcott was born Feb 19, 1819 in Leppen Parish, England and died Aug 3, 1909 at his home in the town of Fountain, Juneau County, this state. In the year 1850 he came to America with his parents and spent the succeedng two years in Racine County, Wis,, coming from there to this county where they moved onto the farm now owned by his brother James Northcott, in the town of Fountain.
On July 28, 1883, he was united in marriage to Evaline Bires and to this union were born three sons, Leonard W, Charles H, and Bert R Northcott, all of Fountain, Besides the sorrowing sons and widow he also leaves to mourn his death three sisters and three brothers, as follows: Mrs Betsy Cann of Dayton, Wash, Mrs Charlotte Sherman of Elroy, Mrs Mary Jane Brownell of Mauston, Richard Northcott of Morris , Minn and John and James of this vicinity.
The sudden death of Mr. Northcott not only came as a great shock to immediate relatives but cast a gloom over the entire community where he was so well known and favorably known.
Funeral Services , conducted by Rev. Russell of this city, were held Thursday afternoon at his late home. Burial was in the Mead-Northcott cemetery, town of Fountain.
The following frineds and relatives from abroad attended the funeral, viz: Mr and Mrs Morris Sherman, Mrs Charlotte Sherman, Mrs Matie Rosier of Elroy; Mr and Mrs Sherman Brownell, Albert Coles and son, Mr and Mrs W. J. Herriot of Mauston, Richard Northcott of Morris, MN, Mr and Mrs John Alton, Louis Alton, Mr and Mrs Frank Ruland, Miss Mary Ball of Lindina, Mr and Mrs Moses Braund, Aaron Braund and son of Plymouth; Mrs Wm Good of Tomah and Miss May Mead of Chicago.
