Barbara Joyce Hansard, 67, died Thursday, October 25, 2001, in Wichita Falls. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 29, 2001, at Crestview Memorial Park with Reverend Joe Patterson officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Crestview.
Barbara was born February 27, 1934, in Henrietta, to the late J.D. and Mildred (Tammen) Rushing. A homemaker, Mrs. Hansard was involved in home missions and was a member of First Baptist Church of Dean, the Wichita County Rabbit Breeding Association, and the Wichita Valley Square and Round Dancing association. She was very crafty and did a lot of painting. She was preceeded in death by two grand-daughters.
Survivors include her sons David Hansard and wife Leslia of Wichita Falls and Douglas Hansard and wife Carol of Henrietta; sister Norma Mulkey; brother Charles Rushing of Wichita Falls; eight grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. For those desiring, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Greater Alzheimer's Association, 801 Burnett Street, Wichita Falls, Texas 76301.
