Cleveland-----Special---Mrs. Amelia (sic) e. Schmahl, died Thursday morning at 11 o'clock at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Bohne.
She became seriously ill in December, 1939, and had been living at her parents home since last March. She was born May 17, 1896, in the town of Meeme, and on February 6, 1937, married Mr. Schmahl, who is pastor of St. Mark's Evangelical and Reformed Church, town of Mosel.
She received her elementary education at Spring Valley School district No. 2 and graduated from the Manitowoc County Normal School in 19
After taking special library work, she was employed at the Manitowoc Herald-Times office from 1928 to 1937, with the exception of two years when she was recovering from an illness. She was a member of St. James Church all her life and since her marriage had been a member of the ladies aid of St. Mark's Church.
Survivors are her husband, one daughter Kathryn Ann, her parents, two brothers and one sister, Henry F. Bohne of Newton, Herman J. of Cleveland and Mrs. Reuben Fries of Cleveland. Funeral services will be held Sunday morning at 11 o'clock at the Mosel parsonage. The body will lie in state at St. Mark's Church until time of services at the church at 2 o'clock.
The Rev. William Beckmann of Mission House College will officiate at the parsonage, the Rev. Clarence Schmidt of Immanuel Church, town Herman, and the Rev. E.C. Jaberg of Sheboygan, will have charge of services at the church, and the Rev. William Schultz of Schwartzwald will officiate at the grave in St. James Cemetery, Spring Valley. The body can be viewed at the parsonage until Sunday morning at 11 o'clock.

Schmahl Funeral.
Funeral services for Mrs. Carl Schmahl, nee Emelia Bohne, wife of the Rev. Carl G. Schmahl of Mosel, who died last week, were held Sunday afternoon from St. Mark's Church. Six cousins, John Reinemann, Clarence Colwey, Ray Kolb, Henry Langenhahn, William Fiedler and Fred Bohne were pall bearers. Consistory members of two congregations were honorary pall bearers.
The Rev. Clarence Schmidt of the town of Herman, a schoolmate of the widower, delivered the funeral address. Burial was in the St. James Cemetery at Spring Valley.
Services were attended by many clergymen friends of the Rev. Schmahl and numerous relatives and friends from Manitowoc, Two Rivers, Kiel, Valders, Elkhart Lake, Sheboygan Falls, Sheboygan, Racine, Milwaukee, Burlington and Plymouth.No newspaper named but it is most likely the Sheboygan Press.
