Milton C. Terry was born on Nov. 6, 1921 in New London, Conn. He was the 10th child of Rev. Isaac E. and Sarah (Wilbur) Terry. He grew up in East Rochester, N.H., later moving to Amesbury, Mass. where he attended Amesbury High School. He graduated from The Allentown Bible Institute in Allentown, Pa.

Mr. Terry entered the U.S. Army in 1942 and served throughout Europe during World War II, and was a recipient of the Soldier's Medal for Valor.

He married Doris N. Colby of Bradford in 1950 and together they raised four children. He was employed by Foss Manufacturing for many years before his retirement, after which he volunteered for the Senior Nutrition Program in Newburyport and delivered Meals on Wheels for several years.

Mr. Terry was a man of strong Christian faith, attending the Byfield Parish Church, Byfield in his later years.

He leaves his wife of 59 years, Doris N (Colby) Terry; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon F. Terry-Yacovone and Robert Yacovone of Newton, N.H., and Susanne V. and Donald O. Comeau Jr. of Danville, N.H.; two sons, Mark E. Terry and Myles C. Terry of Newburyport; grandchildren, Mia (Yi) Sohns of Macedon, N.Y., Jason D. Yi of New York City, Lauren Yacovone of Newton, N.H., Mark E. Terry II of Derry, N.H., Donald O. Comeau III, and Timothy S. Comeau, of Haverhill; great-granddaughters, Erica and Samantha Comeau of Haverhill and Sarah Faith Sohns of Macedon, N.Y.; also many nieces and nephews
