EDMOND LANE JACKSON is the son of Cleveland Jackson, Sr. and Helen Farrow Jackson.

He attended Stafford Elementary School and is a 1979 graduate of Italy High School. Voted 'Most Athletic' in high school, Ed was a prolific running back, garnering several awards including all-state recognition in 1979. He holds the state record in the 100 yard dash, which will stand unbroken because Texas high schools no longer compete in this event. He attended Navarro College and Bishop College.

Edmond Jackson is the father of Darlivia Helena Jackson and the brother of 16 siblings.
