Douglas Cody Cochran, 44, passed away Wednesday, January 26 at Porter Adventist Hospital in Englewood Colorado. Doug was born February 15, 1966 in Laramie, Wyoming to Marshall & Coleen Cochran. He then moved to Ft. Collins and later to LaPorte, Colorado. He attended Odea elementary, Lesher and CLP Jr. High and was a 1984 graduate of Poudre High School. Doug built his career with Alpine lumber company, first in Loveland then moving to Aurora, Colorado. Doug's giving personality and huge heart turned all of his clients into lifelong very close friends. He was always helping and doing for others, with a sense of humor to turn a frown into a smile. Doug loved softball, bowling, turkey hunting, elk hunting, and all big game hunting. His other passion was horses and everything about horses. Doug's father passed away when he was 15 and his mother when he was 20, He started his own family and was blessed with daughters Jenna 9, Sarah 19, Sommer & grandson Ethan also Adam & Brandon, and very special friends, Tom & Carol Tanner, Tammy DeCorsey & James Ortivez. Doug had an extended family with Crossroads Bible Church, which he was very active with. Doug was a true brother to everyone he met. Doug is survived by his daughters Jenna Cochran, Sarah Urlacher, sister's Cindy Cattleman & Kurt, sister Linda Davidson & John, sister Marsha Strandgard, brother Bobby Cochran & Mary, eight nephews and their spouses, one niece, 3 great nephews, one great niece, and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and families. The memorial service for Doug Cochran will be held 9:00 a.m. Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Fellowship Community Church, 6263 South Parker Road, Centennial, Colorado 80016. The internment is at 2:30 pm at Grandview Cemetery, 1900 West Mountain Avenue, Fort Collins, Colorado, 80521.
