Walter Alexis Marshall, son of Conrad Marshall and 2/w Mary Jean Steward, was born April 16, 1874 in DeSoto, Johnson County, Kansas.

He married Minnie Garton on May 17, 1896 in Linwood, Leavenworth, Kansas. She was born November 10, 1878. Walter died October 2, 1944 in Pasadena, California.

Walter was buried in the Santa Ana Cemetery in Santa Ana, Orange County, California. Minnie died in December 1970 in Pasadena and is also buried in the Santa Ana Cemetery. They had no issue.
