Martha M. Thies, 58, wife of Fred Thies, of Great Falls, passed away Monday evening at the St. Peter's hospital in Helena after a brief illness.
She is well known in this section as the family lived here for a number of years before leaving for Minneapolis where they made their home for many years. Mrs. Thies was born in Omaha, Neb., August 17, 1889. She was a member of the Episcopal church.
She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Mrs. James Ellis and Mrs. Sid Hendrickson of Lincoln, and Mrs. N.J. Nixon, of Minneapolis; a son, Fred, of Minneapolis, and nine grandchildren, and a host of friends.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later. The family have the sympathy of all in their bereavement.
