Charles Ralph Anderson, 58, of Sparta, passed away May 10, 2003.

Anderson was born July 12, 1944, in White County, to Ralph Anderson and Jewel Marie Reeves Anderson.

He served as sheriff of White County from 1990-1998 and was most recently employed as chief deputy at Van Buren County Sheriff Department.

Anderson was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Anderson; step father, Joe Wilson; and one brother, Johnny Wilson.

He is survived by his mother, Jewel Reeves Anderson Wilson of Sparta; wife, Linda Anderson of Sparta;
one daughter and son-in-law, Sonya Anderson Daniels and Sandy Daniels of Sparta;
step daughters, Melissa Richards and Stacia Knight both of Crossville;
one brother, Wayne Wilson of Sparta;
two grandchildren, Seth and Shea Daniels both of Sparta;
two step grandchildren, Casey Knight and Cassidy Richards both of Crossville.

Services will be May 13, 2003, at East Sparta Church of God with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Bro. Doug Goff and Bro. Jerry Barnwell will officiate.

Thurman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
