James Percy Cooper, 90, died at his home Wednesday, January 5, 2005, at 1:30 p.m. He was the husband of A. Margaret (Keesee) Cooper with whom he recently celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary. Born in Chester, Pa. on September 14, 1914, a son of the late Chester and Myrtle Mary (Burkins) Cooper, Mr. Cooper was a lifelong dairy farmer and loving Father and Pop-Pop. During WWII, he worked at Glen L. Martin in Baltimore, Md. building airplanes. He served on the Peach Bottom Township Planning Commission from 1972-2001. He always enjoyed gardening and raising vegetables. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children: James E. Cooper, Janet C. and her husband Bob Evans, and Gary D. Cooper, all of Delta, and Nancy J. and her husband, David Olchewsky of Street, Md.; five grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; one sister, Myrtle Wilson of Delta; one brother, Ramsay Cooper of Dallastown; and one step sister, Marie Shillow of Columbia.
