Rehwinkel, Richard J., of Cedar Hill, Missouri, was born June 12, 1932, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Gustauv and Katherina (nee Siefort) Rehwinkel, and entered into rest, Wednesday, January 26, 2011, at Missouri Baptist Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of 78 years, 7 month and 14 days.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gustauv and Katherina (nee Siefort) Rehwinkel, five (5) siblings, Harry Rehwinkel, Dorothy Ellebrecht, Alice Boster, Bernice Knirr and Helen Byrne,

He is survived by his wife, Glenda Rehwinkel, of Cedar Hill, Missouri, four (4) children, Mark (Kathy) Rehwinkel, of Cedar Hill, Missouri, Dr. Kelley (Matt) Shaffer, of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, Kurt Rehwinkel, of St. Charles, Missouri, and Dana (Scott) Smith, of Cedar Hill, Missouri, five (5) grandchildren, Jordan Shaffer, Sami Shaffer, Taylor Smith, Erin Smith, and Keller Smith, one (1) brother-in-law, Paul Knirr, of Fenton, Missouri, and many other relatives and friends.

Richard served in the Army where he was a member of the military police; he also was a German interpreter. Richard worked at Pepsi for 40 years. He is fondly remembered and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
