Julious James Owens was born November 30, 1922 in Red Fork, Oklahoma the son of Garland and Saphrona Ann (Hill) Owens. He died Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was 88 years of age.
Jim was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II. He married the former Miss Lola Inez Littlefield on May 15, 1946 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. They moved to Tulsa in 1949. Jim was the head custodian for Tulsa Public Schools for over 31 years, retiring in 1986. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching baseball and was a Big St. Louis Cardinals Fan. He was a member of Woodlake Church.
He is survived by Wife, two Daughters and husbands; two Sons and wives; Grandchildren; Great Grandchildren and expected infant; three Sisters and husbands.
He was preceded in death by brother, Raymond, sisters,
LaVeda, Hattie, Minnie, two infant sisters and his parents.
Services are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Monday, January 24, 2011 at Woodlake Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
