Research information states that he was buried in this cemetery on 2 November 1593.

Son of James and Susanna, nee Furner, Chilton. They and their daughter Mary sailed from Leiden, Holland aboard the Mayflower in 1620. James died aboard ship in the harbor after arrival and Susanna died in Plymouth in January of 1621. Mary Chilton became famous for being the first white woman to step foot on Plymouth soil, married John Winslow and had many, many descendants.
