Carrie was the five year old daughter of David Freeman & Ida E. Woodhull Hait. David was a Jeweler & watch repair in Port Jefferson prior to moving to Sayville where he died in 1893 from Typhoid. Ida lived untill 1928. Both are at Union Cemetery in Sayville, NY. Ida was from the 'Setauket' Woodhull family; first Woodhull members from England. Early Woodhull members are at the Setauket Presbyterian Churchyard. Others are at Union, Sayville. Hait Family members are at Patchogue & Coram (Methodist) Cemeteries. Also buried here at Cedar Hill is Carrie's one year old bother, Howard,(1874-1875), no stone.....George Moraitis, Historian for the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Port Jefferson.
