Born in Anderson, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Julius Wilton Earle and Margaret Amelia Lucas Earle.
Mrs. Yeargin was a retired teacher's assistant. She was a former member of First Baptist Church in Gastonia where she taught adult Sunday school and was a past president of the WMU.
She was a current member of Covenant Baptist Church where she taught adult Sunday school, was a past president of the WMU and was a member of the Ladies Fellowship Class.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Julius Wilton Earle; and a sister, Margaret Amelia Earle Arthur.
Survivors include her husband of 65 and a half years, Guy A. Yeargin; sons and their wives, Michael Austin and Nancy Yeargin of Greenville, S.C., Anthony Earle and Sally Yeargin of Weddington, and Timothy Guy and Bernie Yeargin of Gastonia; grandchildren, Tammy Yeargin, Mitchell Guy Yeargin, Mary Katherine Radin, Aaron Nathaniel Yeargin, Hayley Joy Yeargin, Brandon Yeargin and wife Brandy, and Nicholas Yeargin and wife, Skylar; and a great-grandchild, Shaylee Lisa Grace Yeargin.
The funeral service will be held at Covenant Baptist Church with the Rev. Olin Byrum III officiating. Burial will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
