Richard E. Brantner Eagle Age 76, passed away January 19,2011, after a year-long battle with cancer. Dick retired from the Michigan State Police (MSP) in 1982. While with the MSP, he was on the pistol team and dive team and was also a pilot. He loved to golf, ran the Grand Ledge Airport for three years, was an avid news junkie, and fought and won the Toughman boxing event. Dick also loved football, bowling and shuffleboard. Anyone who knew him recognized his quick wit and sense of humor. He was a man with strong principles and values. Surviving are his loving wife of 33 years, Char; his mother, Sarah Brantner; brother, Charles; sisters, Jeanette Cunningham and Jeanece (Ross) Stephens; daughters, Patti (Michael) Mack, Beth (Tommy) Adair, and Glenda Brantner; sons, Richard (Vickie) Brantner, Scott (Deena) Bunce, Chris Bunce and special friend, Natalie; 19 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Dick may not be here with us, but he will always be in our hearts and
memories.
