SAMUEL 5th child of James and Anna (Dyke) Loud
Samuel Loud, a Farmer, born in Weymouth, MA., was raised in Plainfield, MA. He farmed several acres in Plainfield where they raised dairy cattle.
His wife, Rhodelpha Shaw, was born in Plainfield, MA, daughter of John and Hannah (Dyer) Shaw. Samuel and Rodelpha filed intention of marriage on Oct. 6, 1820 at Plainfield, MA and were married on Nov 23, 1820. Samuel and Rodelpha were members of the Plainfield Congregational Church, joining Sep. 2, 1827.
Samuel died at his son’s home in Springfield, MA. He and his wife are buried in Hilltop Cemetery at Plainfield, MA. in Lot No. 2388, with good stone markers.
Family Bible, personal letters and vital records were used for sources.
