Mary Jane was born "Albina Marie Petrik" on February 20, 1917 in Red Clover Township, Carlton County, Minnesota. Her parents were Joseph and Mary (nee Neimon or Nieman) Petrik. At the time of her birth she had an older half brother, John Prokop. The family was of Bohemian ancestry.

The Petrik family is recorded in the 1920 US Federal Census as still living in Red Clover, Carlton, MN. but by 1924 Mary Jane's mother had died and she was subsequently adopted by Edward and Ida (nee Pope) Ehle of Phillips, Price County, Wisconsin. Her name was changed to Mary Jane Ehle on May 9, 1924. She was baptized at the age of 8 years on June 4, 1925 at First Presbyterian Church, Phillips, Wisconsin and her adoption papers were signed off and finalized on March 30, 1930. Mary Jane was a graduate of Phillips High School.

On Dec. 27, 1938 at the age of 21, Mary Jane married Henry Kisselman Jr. in Greeley, Weld County, Colorado. To this union, five children were born. They are Don, Diane, Leonard, Tom and Donna.

In the 1940 census, Mary Jane and her husband Henry are found living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and she was employed at Columbia Hospital.

About 1943, Henry and Mary Jane along with their young son Donald, moved to Windsor, Colorado where they remained to raise their ever-growing family.

Mary Jane died unexpectedly at the age of 77 from complications after surgery and she was laid to rest beside her husband at Lakeview Cemetery in beautiful Windsor, Colorado.

It is said that Mary Jane felt she'd had a good life growing up with the Ehle family and she was especially fond of, and close to, her older adoptive sister, whom she lovingly referred to as Margie.

Mary Jane is dearly missed.
