Hazel Elizabeth (Pease/Finley) was born in Eagle CO on Feb 26 1908. She married Ernest Simon Fritz on Feb 22 1923. They farmed West of Fort Collins next to where Rocky Mountain High School now stands.

Ernest and Hazel had 6 children on the farm and were close to Ernest's parents and siblings. They lived near another young farmer who showed interest in their daughter. Patricia Fritz married William Montgomery and raised her two children at their farm as well.

Hazel's eldest daughter was diagnosed with diabetes as a child. Hazel and Ernest struggled with the disease Buelah May had but the young girl died at 14 years.

Ernest and Hazel retired and moved to Oregon. Several of their children went with them. They made a home and enjoyed their (19) grandchildren, fishing, the beach, and Ernest painting. They traveled back to Colorado to visit family each year while they were able. Photos show them at their 50th wedding anniversary.

Hazel died of a bowl problem Sept. 11 1984 in Medford Oregon. She is buried in Pistol River near Ernest who followed her in 1992 (of cancer).
