Harold Redding 'Barney' Barnes

TRINITY — Funeral for Harold Redding "Barney" Barnes, 67, of Caddo will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with the Rev. J.T. Lowery and the Rev. Neal Culberson officiating.

Burial will be in Caddo Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Barnes died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at his home. He was born June 22, 1935, in Morgan County, to James H. Barnes and Mary Alma Lowery Barnes. He was a drywall hanger and a U.S. Army veteran who was stationed in Japan following the Korean War. Mr. Barnes was a DECATUR DAILY carrier from 1987 to 2001 and was the stepson of the late Norman Dodd. He was the father of the late Ruth Lowery Deffenbaugh and the brother of the late Norman Barnes.

Survivors include his wife, Alliamae Barnes; three sons, Harold "Tony" Barnes and Mike Lowery, both of Moulton, and David Lowery of Caddo; two daughters, Christina Griffith of Jackson, Mich., and Terri Gleason of Ypsilanti, Mich.; his mother Alma Lowery Dodd of Decatur; one brother, David Barnes of Skull Valley, Ariz.; and 11 grandchildren.

Grandsons will be pallbearers.
