"Miss Maude A. Sheridan, aged 83, of Richfield Springs, died Wednesday, September 13, in the Bella Vista Nursing Home in Richfield Springs, following a long illness. Miss Sheridan was born in Richfield Springs on July 10, 1884, the daughter of Norman J. and Jessie B. (McRorie) Sheridan. She attended the Richfield High school and Oneonta Normal School. She taught in Schenectady, Middleville and in Mohawk for about 25 years. She retired about 20 years ago. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Eastern Star and the New York State Retired Teachers Association. Surviving are three nephews, Gerald Sheridan of Richfield Springs, Claude Sheridan of Beaver Falls, Pa., and Wilbur Sheridan of Orange, N. J., and two nieces, Mrs. Mary Mitch of Butler, Pa. and Mrs. Barbara Appleton of Orange, N. J. ... Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery, Richfield Springs."
