On Wednesday, March 29, 1995 at approximately 12:30 a.m. the angel of death came into the Riverside Medical Center and quietly bore away the spirit of our loving mother. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters, two brothers, one son, Wilfred G. Williams, one grandson and one great grandson.
She confessed Christ at an early age with the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Reverend James R. Vernon and the late Reverend Willard Vernon. Now presently being served by Reverend Johnny Causey. She was an active member of the Sr. Choir, Missionary Society, Deaconess Board, leader of the Sunbeams, sick committee and primary bible school teacher. She served faithfully until her illness.
She was united in holy matrimony to the late Isaiah Williams, Sr. and to this union nine children were born.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories; three sons, Isaiah, Jr. and Robert Williams both of San Francisco, California and Lawrence Williams of Daly City, California; five daughters, Romenia S. James and Vertis W. Wilson both of Mt. Hermon, Louisiana, Bobbie L. Williams of Roseland, Louisiana, Elsie W. Wilson of Marrero, Louisiana and Myrtis M. Williams of New Orleans, Louisiana; four brothers, Mitchell Tate of Mt. Hermon, Louisiana, James Tate of Meridian, Mississippi, John Tate, Sr. of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Willie Earl Tate of Los Angeles, California; four sisters, Inez Sibley of Mt. Hermon, Louisiana, Velma Watson of New Orleans, Louisiana and Hestella and Arneice Tate of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; thirty-two granchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends
