C. Leon Wilson, age 91, of Florence, died Monday, March 15, 2010. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence. The service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Larry Wright officiating. Interment will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Wilson was a member of First Baptist Church of Florence. He was retired from TVA as an accountant for 42 years. He was a longtime cattleman and horse enthusiast. He was a very loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather and was loved by many.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Wilson.

Survivors are his daughters, Debby Wright (Larry), of Florence, Cindy Stumpe (Paul), of St. Florian, and Amy Wilson, of Tuscaloosa; sister, Mildred Greene (Milford), of Sheffield; grandchildren, Jennifer Boykin (Don), Rebekah Methvin (Roddy), Stephanie Allen (Robbie), Bradley Shupe, Wesley Shupe; great-grandchildren, Tate Methvin, Jon Walt Methvin and Parker Allen.

Pallbearers will be Don Greene, Jerry Greene, Roddy Methvin, Robbie Allen, Michael Scott and Chris McGregor.

Honorary pallbearers will be Milford Greene, brother-in-law and friend, Tom Jones, lifelong best friend, Carmel Olive and Kenny Shupe.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Lyman Mitchell, who took extra special care of Mr. Wilson for many years.
