Mabel H. Larson, a resident of Little Falls, MN, died Feb. 27, 2004, at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls. Funeral services were held March 3 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Little Falls.

Mabel was born Sept. 8, 1907, in Randall Township, Morrison County, MN, to the late Hugo and Hilda (Narum) Nelson. She attended country school in Darling Township. She graduated from Little Falls High School. She was united in marriage to Joseph Melin on July 27, 1938. Mabel worked at the State Capitol for many years until she moved to Little Falls in 1961. After coming to Little Falls she worked for the unemployment office and later the treasurer's office. Joseph died on Sept. 10, 1975. She was then united in marriage to Roy Larson on Oct. 29, 1983. The couple made their home in Little Falls. Roy died April 11, 1995. Mabel continued living in Little Falls, until her death. Mabel was a member of the Darling Ladies Aid. She and her husband Roy were crowned the 1986 Senior Snowflake king and queen. Mabel was an avid bowler and won many trophies over the years. She collected pictures and enjoyed organizing the Nelson family reunions. She also liked playing cards with friends and family.

Survivors include her brother Lennard Nelson and wife Agnes of Little Falls; sisters Marian Eystad of St. Louis Park, MN, Margaret Nelson of St. Paul, MN and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Joseph and Roy; sisters, Gladys Jungbauer, Signe Knutson and Myrtle Swenson; brother, Wilbur Nelson.
