Mary Anna Franklin and John Nation were married on February 6, 1813 in Stokes County, North Carolina. They moved from North Carolina to Indiana sometime between 1826-28 (according to 1820 Census in Surry County, NC and the 1830 Census in Greene County, IN). From family records it is stated that Mary Anna is buried in the Christian Cemetery in Patricksburg, Indiana, but family members were unable to read the stone as it was on the ground and in bad shape. It is unknown when she died.
