YOUNG MAN MEETS DEATH
Guy Cover MaKes a Fatal Step From A Freight CAR.
A telegram announcing the sad intelligence of the untimely death of Guy Leslie Covar, at Sanborn, this state, reached Dunlap last Friday night. The genial and popular young man was braking on a freight train when ha attempted to step from one box car to another, while swltcbing. He miscalculated and the result was fatal. for the young man was dead when found by the trainmen several minutes later. The message was a great shock to the family and community, As soon as possible his brothers, Ceorge and Irwin went to Sanborn and accompanied the remains home. The body was not badly mutilated. Deceased was 23 year of age and an exceptionally fine young wan who made fast friends wherever he want. He attended the Woodbine Normal school and graduated in one of the courses of that school. The funeral was held from the M.E. church Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, a large concourse of sorrowing friends and relatives being in attendance to pay the last tribute possible for them, to one whom they had loved and respected as a bright, honorable and clever young man. Rev. Bartholomew preached a very comforting and impressive sermon and the body was conveyed to Pleasant Hill cemetery where it was tenderly laid to rest to await the Resurrection morn.
