Carl L. Wright, 78, Altoona, died Sun., Jan. 31, 2011 at Altoona Hospital. He was born in Water Street to James L. & Anna M. (Goodman) Wright. He married Phyllis J. Buddle on June 1, 1957, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Juniata. Survived by wife; and children: David L. of Everett; John L. & wife, Michele, of Perrysburg, OH; and Lisa J. Harten, Deanna L. Mitchell and Marsha L. Wright, all of Altoona. Predeceased by brother, T. Eugene Wright and sister, Norma J. Kephart. Carl was a 1950 graduate of Juniata Valley High School and attended Shippensburg State Teachers College. He served in both the National Guard in 1952 and the U.S. Army from 1952-54, stationed at Fort Knox, KY and attained the rank of corporal. He was employed with Brumbaugh Body Co., where he custom built fire trucks for 33 years. Member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Juniata; 50 year member of Logan Lodge; Jaffa Shrine; Tall Cedars of Lebanon; Altoona Consistory; Alexandria Sportsmans Club and Tyrone Sportsman's Assn. Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Juniata. Interment, Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
