Our beloved Ginger died Tuesday, October 3, 1995 of the disease she had cataloged, studied and endured.

Ginger said that her life was filled with the best there was to offer: a loving husband and family, a good education and the support of old friends and the new ones who have shared the disease. Her determination and will were an inspiration to all.

Born March 20, 1934 in Salt Lake City to Sylvia Munk Jex and Leroy B. Jex. She married her high school sweetheart Paul Moslander on April 2, 1957.

She graduated Magna cum Laude with a B.F.A. in Medical Illustration from the University of Utah where she was elected Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Beta Kappa. Her professional career began at the LDS Hospital as executive staff secretary and following postgraduate work in Computer Science and Biostatistics, she initiated the first Tumor Registry in the state of Utah and eventually coordinated a six state research project sponsored by the Intermountain Regional Medical Program of the University of Utah.

An expert in medical business administration, she was the Supervisor of Claims for Blue Cross of Utah, the Business manager of the Salt Lake Surgical Center, and then of The Children's Center. As Vice President of Medical Software Systems, she traveled extensively to establish computerized medical business systems in hospitals. She retired in 1991. She co-authored publications on the study and registry of cancer.

A member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, she served as the Alumnae Association president and numerous advisory positions; the Junior League of Salt Lake where she was the chairman of the Juvenile Court Research project. She was Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Utah Division of the American Cancer Society and a delegate to the national convention. She was a member of Town Club.

Ginger excelled at everything she did. She was a devoted wife, mother and daughter who loved the outdoors, was great at tennis, gardening, skiing, bridge and needlepoint. A friend to all, she gave unselfishly of her care and intellect. She will be remembered and cherished by those who love her.

She is survived by her dear husband, Paul; her mother; mother-in-law, Mary C. Roberts; sister, Honey J. Larson (Mrs. Ridd); son, Joe and Lisa Moslander of Salt Lake City; and daughter, Marianne and George Phillips, Phoenix, Arizona; and her precious dogs, Tess and Shorty; nephew, Jim and Denise Larson, West Yellowstone; niece, Susan and Joe Bollinger; and in-laws, Wally and Cherry Ridges.

Graveside services will be held 12 Noon Thursday, October 5, 1995 in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Following, friends are invited to join the family in a celebration of Ginger's life at the Salt Lake Country Club.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so may make contributions to the American Cancer Society, 941 East 3300 South, S.L.C., Utah 84106.
