Mr. Andrew Earl Parker, age 67, was born on February 17, 1943 in Opelika and passed away on January 31, 2011 at East Alabama Medical Center. He was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church and the Twin City Masonic Lodge #74. He attended Beauregard High School, was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, and worked at Opelika Manufacturing for some years. He retired from Davis-Dyar after 20 years of loyal service. He especially enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren at Lake Martin. He loved the lake, tools and working for others.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. George Henry Parker and Mrs. Estelle Parker; and sisters, Marie Langston and Juanita Freeman.


He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Parker; son, Jason Parker, wife Misty; daughter, Stacy Furmanek; grandchildren, Brooke and Jake Furmanek, and Layne and Jade Parker; brother, Wayne Parker; sister, Alice Foster, husband Forrest; mother-in-law, Ruby Evelyn Maness; sister-in-law, Juanita Owsley, husband Art; and several nieces and nephews.



Visitation Information:



Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm/cst at Fredericks Funeral Home.



Services Information:



Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at 11:00 am/cst at Union Grove Baptist Church, with Brother Robert Rhodes officiating. Interment will follow in Garden Hills Cemetery.
