Henry Krout formerly of near Quickel's Church,who lived with his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John E. krout, York RD1, died yesterday afternoon at 4:20 o'colck at their residence after a brief illness. He leaves the following children: John E. Krout, at whose home he died; Mrs. Katie Eppley, Mrs. Annie Dehoff, Harvey Krout, and Mrs. William Anstine, all of York; Mrs. Arthur Snell, Daniel Krout, Cletus Krout and Samuel Krout, all of York RD5; Mrs Walter Groscost and Charles Krout, Dover RD2. He also leaves 27 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
The funeral was held yesterday with short services at the home of his son with concluding services at Quickel's church. The Rev. Emanuel Hoover, pastor, assisted by the Rev. J.C. McCarney, a former pastor, officiated. Floral tributes were numerous. The following neighbors were pallbearers: Parker Miller, Wilbur Smyser, Nelson Douglas, Elmer Bahn, Walter Gross and Howard Emig. Interment was made in Quickels cemetery.
