Mrs. Mary Jane Brown, 83, of Rt. 1, Baxter, died Monday at home after an extended illness.
Born in Putnam County, she was a retired homemaker, and the daughter of Paul and Betty Carr Anderson.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:00 from Baxter Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Alfred Smith and Wilson Johnson officiating. Burial was in Smellage Cemetery with Whitson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include the widower, L. B. Brown, Rt. 1, Baxter; a son, Olcie Brown, Rt. 1, Baxter; 2 daughters, Mrs. Audry L. Haggard, Smithville, and Mrs. Minnie Lena Haggard, Rt. 1, Baxter; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Leftwich, Rt. 1, Baxter; 11 grandchildren, 7 greatgrandchildren.
