Cecelia A. LaRue, age 87, of LaValle, died Thursday evening, April 17, 2014 in the Reedsburg Area Medical Center. She was born on May 6, 1926 in the Township of Seven Mile Creek, Juneau County, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Sullivan) Fitzgerald. On January 31, 1944 she was married to Maurice W. LaRue. After raising her family, Cecelia worked at Hankscraft in Reedsburg for seventeen years until her retirement. She liked to read and enjoyed quilting in her spare time. Cecelia will be remembered for having a heart-of-gold. Survivors include her six children: Bridge (Joey) Lawrence, of Wonewoc; Daniel LaRue, and his friend, Emily, of LaValle; Jeff (Carol) LaRue, of Round Lake, IL; Diane (Dave) Allian, of Stoughton; Morgan LaRue, and his friend, Tabitha, of Lake Villa, IL and Lisa LaRue, of Ironton; thirteen grandchildren: Joe, Dawn, Julie, Dalton, Lacee, Halee, Carlee, Danica, McKenzie, Direll, Justice, Devyn and Symayah; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Mary Gonzales, of South Beloit, IL and Lucy Barnes, of Mauston; two brothers: Mike Fitzgerald, of South Beloit, IL and Francis "Rusty" Fitzgerald, of Mauston; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice, on February 20, 1994; two sons: Lawrence and Morgan; two brothers: Dennis Fitzgerald and Patrick Fitzgerald; and three sisters: Geraldine Kranz, Rose Finlayson and Iona Fitzgerald. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church in LaValle with Father Lorin Bowens officiating. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Ironton, in a Catholic ceremony.
