Javier Jesus Rodriguez-Yee, 26, passed away on the early morning of Jan. 27, 2011 in Blythe.

Javier was born Jan. 26, 1985 in Blythe and lived in Las Vegas, Nev. from 1988 until he returned to Blythe in 2002.

He graduated from Twin Palms Continuation School in 2003. At that time he worked helping his brother Jose in his janitorial business.

Javier started working at Kuzzie's Car Wash shortly after graduating from high school. He then started working at Denny's Restaurant in 2005 as a cook.

When he decided that the cooking career was not for him, he started working for Valley Beverage Distributing Company in 2006 as a merchandiser until the time of his death.

On April 27, 2007, he was blessed with the joy of his life, his firstborn and only child, Santiago Rodriguez.

Javier is survived by son, Santiago Rodriguez and girlfriend, Elizabeth Padilla of Blythe; daughter, Jazmin Rivas; sisters, Rosa (Arturo) Gonzalez of Blythe, Clara (Gary) Mendivil-Gomez of Escondido, Calif., Kelly (Anthony) Degennaro of New Jersey and Cindy Perez (Ernesto) of Las Vegas, Nev.; brothers, Danny Rodriguez of Las Vegas, Nev., Carlos (Estela) Ronquillo of Escondido, Calif., Samuel Ronquillo of Blythe, and Jose (Maria) Mendivil of Blythe; father, Francisco Rodriguez of Las Vegas, Nev.; as well as many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins throughout the Yuma, Ariz., Las Vegas, Escondido, Calif., and Blythe areas.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Teodocia Yee Rojas.

Visitation will be held Feb. 2, 2011 from 4-8 p.m. at Frye Chapel.

Funeral service will be held Feb. 3, 2011 at 10 a.m. also at Frye Chapel with Bishop Sam Burton officiating. Burial will follow after services at Palo Verde Cemetery.
