Obituary from the Charleston Gazette: Kathleen Stanard Ham, a former West Virginia rural missionary and a 30-year resident of Cuba, died at her home in California on September 20, 2005. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Jane Madrigal and Greta Silva of California; a son, the Rev. Carlos E. Ham of Switzerland; and six grandchildren. A brother, J. D. Stanard of Hurricane; and three sisters, Helen Jackson of Roanoke, VA, Wilma Richardson of Summersville, and Lois McCabe of Charleston, also survive. A memorial service is scheduled for December in her home community of Enon, Nicholas County, the place of her birth and the site of her 1955 marriage to the Rev. Adolfo Ham of Cuba. A memorial service was held December 29, 2005 at the Enon Baptist Church with burial of her ashes at the Walker Memorial Cemetery in Summersville, WV following.
