"Mrs. Jette Prinz, a resident of the Millard community for fifty-seven years, died at her home in Millard, Friday, December 31, of old age, following an illness of several weeks. Mrs. Prinz was born in Schleswig, , September 1, 1849, and was 80 years and 4 months old at the time of her death. She was married to August Prinz in Omaha, August 31, 1873 and they lived on a farm 2-1/2 miles south of Millard until eight years ago, when they moved to Millard. She was always a very active worker in the church and took an active part in all affairs of the community. She made many friends during her long years in the community. She made many friends during her long years in the community, who deeply regret her death. Mr. Prinz preceded his wife in death about three years ago. She is survived by eight daughters, Mrs. C.F. Bartels, Mrs. Agatha Boettcher, Mrs. Felix Whitaker, Mrs. Chris Elseman of Millard; Mrs. John Fleck of Gretna, Mrs. Rudolph Olderog of Omaha, Mrs. Chris Schrum of Lincoln and Mrs. Marcus Otte, Jr. of Elkhorn, and one son, Charles Prinz of Chalco. She is also survived by two brothers, Lawrence Stahl of Gretna and Henry Stahl of Denver, and a sister, Mrs. H.F. Hamann of Omaha. Funeral services were held Friday, January 3, at 2 o'clock at St. Paul's church. Pallbearers were grandsons of Mrs. Prinz, Frank Bartels, Carl Schrum, Arnold Boettcher, Gilbert Fleck, Elmer Prinz and William Brey, Jr. Interment was in the Voss-Mohr cemetery."
