Dorothie A. Bridgewater, 78, of Grand Avenue died at 3:06 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2000, at her home.

She was a former employee of Cummins Engine Co. and Golden Casting and retired from H&R Block.

Funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Barkes, Inlow & Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. William R. Cordes officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Barkes, Inlow & Weaver Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at Barkes, Inlow & Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street. Graveside service will be conducted at noon Saturday at Dupont Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Born in Dupont Sept. 29, 1921, Mrs. Bridgewater was the daughter of Will G. and Gladys King Kelley. She was the widow of Robert L. Righthouse who died in 1945 during World War II.

Survivors include a son, Ivan M. Bridgewater Jr. of Bradenton, Fla.; a daughter, Linda Foster of Atlanta; a sister, Patricia Wilkerson of Columbus; grandchildren, Nicolette Banks, Ivan M. Bridgewater III and Carina Cole, all of Seymour; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a brother, William H. Kelley, and a sister, Helen Brooks.
