Gustave Adolph Kreischer, Albany candy maker for many years, died yesterday (July 27, 1936) at his home, [136 Brevator?] Street, after a short illness.
A son of the late Jacob and Magdalen Holler Kreischer, Mr. Kreischer was graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, as a civil engineer. Instead of following in this profession, however, he became identified with his father in the candy-making business, which he continued after his father's death.
Surviving Mr. Kreischer are two sisters, Mrs. Katherine M. Jagels of Albany and Mrs. Caroline M. Sutermesiter of Jackson Heights, L.I. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow from his home and will be private. Ernest E. Heuer of Our Savior's Lutheran Church will officiate and burial will be in Eagle Hill Cemetery.
