Jim married 1.Martha Adline Roberts, daughter of Amos Pleasant Roberts, Jr. and Mary Jane Maddox Roberts, on June 16, 1886 in Conway Co., Arkansas.

Jim and Martha were the parents of

1.Mary Elizabeth Spears, b.September 22, 1887, d.June 20, 1953. Mary married Benjamin Harrison Wiley.

2.Pleasie Blaine Spears, b.August 06, 1891, d.August 24, 1973. Pleasie married Georgie Mae Stobaugh.
Pleasie and Georgie are interred here at Cedar Creek Cemetery.

3.Archie Argintine Spears, b.January 22, 1895, d.November 24, 1931. Archie marred Nellie Rhea "Miss Rhea" Johnson.
Archie and Rhea are interred at Robertstown Cemetery, Robertstown, Conway Co., Arkansas.

4.William McKinley "Willie" Spears, b.September 11, 1897, d.December 31, 1913.
Willie is interred at here Cedar Creek Cemetery.

5.Stanton Spears, b. & d. 1899.

Martha Adline Roberts Spears died from complications of childbirth on February 04, 1902 in Center, Pontotoc Co., Oklahoma and is interred at Center Cemetery with two of her children.

Jim married Martha Ann 'Patsy' Bruton about 1909 in Conway Co., Arkansas.
Patsy was the mother of Edgar Bruton(1903-1974), Epha Bruton(1907-1975), and Sybil Bruton Bennett.
