Ruth R. Stephens, 78, died Saturday, July 13, 2002, at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Greenwood.
She was born March 1, 1924, in Indianapolis. Her parents were Albert E. and Mabel M. (Little) Greilich. She married Owen Stephens. He preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Darlene A. Sidebottom of Greenwood and Deborah S. Rodriguez of Indianapolis; a brother, Albert E. Greilich of Indianapolis; a sister, Rosemary Percifield of Indianapolis; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was employed by American States Insurance as a secretary for 10 years.
She was a member of Villa Baptist Church and its Jolly 60s group.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home.
