Wendell Clyde Fowler July 25, 1946 - December 14, 2009 CATAULA, GA — Wendell Clyde Fowler, 63, of Cataula died Monday, December 14, 2009 at Vista Care at Franciscan Woods Hospice in Columbus, GA. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Ft Mitchell National Cemetery, according to Cox Funeral Home, Hamilton. The family will receive friends this evening from 6:00 Ð 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Fowler was born July 25, 1946 in Columbus, GA the son of Gaynell Fowler and Claude Andrew Fowler. He was a retired cable repairman with Southern Bell and later was a self employed contractor for GTE. Mr. Fowler was a U. S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and member of the VFW Post # 66 in Columbus. Survivors include his mother, a son, a daughter, three brothers, two sisters, two step-brothers and three grandchildren.
