Ralph J. Woolworth, 80, Olympia, WA, died Friday June 4, 1982, at a Care Center after a long illness.
Funeral services were held at 1:30pm Tuesday at the Evergreen Christian Center with Rev. Geo.Smith and Rev. Rex Johnson officiating. Burial was in the Memorial Garden. The Mills & Mills Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Woolworth was born March 1, 1902 at James, IA. He attended school here and farmed in the James area. In 1929 he moved to Olympia where he married Mary Ellen Russell on April 9, 1930. He owned and operated the Woolworth Refrigeration Service until 1941. Then for 17 years he worked for the Golden Rule Bakery where he had his own bakery route. He was a memeber of the Evergreen Christian Center.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen; a son, Alvin of Los Gatos, CA; a brother Clarence of Hinton; two sisters, Ana young of Campbell, CA and Hattie Schalk of Hinton; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Also, three neices, Lois Smith in Palo Alto, CA; Ina Mae Butler in Bakersfield, CA and Jean Huggenberger of Hinton, IA.; a nephew, James Young of Hinton and several great nieces and nephews.
