A Rosary was receited(sic) for Gertrude Medina, 82, on Thursday night at F.D. Sweet and Son Mortuary here Rev. Daniel Cullman, pastors(sic) officiated.
Mrs. Medina died of pneumonis(sic) Jan. 31 at Glenn General Hospital where she has been a patient for just a short time. She was born in the Azores Jan. 26, 1891 and lived in this area for the past 30 years.
Survivors are her daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Lourenco and Mrs. Ruby Simmons, both of Orland; Mrs. Mary Cockrell of Rosemead and Mrs. Albert(sic) McCann of San Francisco; sons, Jack of Woodland and Walt of San Jose; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The requiem mass was held at St. Dominic's Catholic Church on Friday followed by burial in the Orland Catholic Cemetery.
