POUGHKEEPSIE Roseann C. Ashdown, 80, a resident of the City of Poughkeepsie passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009 at home. She was employed as a bookkeeper for the Mid-Hudson Workshop for the Disabled in Poughkeepsie. She was a loyal Yankee's fan. She enjoyed traveling to Florida to watch the Yankee's Spring Training. Born in Kingston, NY on Oct. 26, 1929, she was the daughter of William and Anna Krusher Ashdown. She is survived by two brothers, David Ashdown of California and John Gaddis of Kingston as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Marian, Helen and Marguerite and brothers, Bud and Albert. Calling hours will be held on Monday, Nov. 2, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the William G. Miller & Son Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Kingston. Memorial donations may be made to the Dutchess County SPCA, 612 Violet Avenue, Hyde Park, NY 12538.
