Note: "Nancy's marriage record on Nov 20, 1880 in Pike County shows her maiden name as Henderson, and census records lead me to believe she was the daughter of James C. & Martha E. (John) Henderson, who married in Pike County on Sep 1, 1859. The 1900 census indicates she was born Jun 1860. However, Nancy Sikes' Alabama death record transcription indicates that she was born in Brewton (Escambia County), AL on Oct 26, 1860 and died on Oct 14, 1930 at the age of 70 years, 10 months (which does not compute); her parents are named as J. M. Baker and Mattie Lee. I haven't found any census records to support this. Also, four of her children's Alabama death records list her maiden name as Henderson, agreeing with her marriage record, and one lists her birth place as Pike Co., AL. It appears that the Alabama death record transcription for Nancy Sikes is in error (or the informant for the death record was in error)." Nancy (Folmar) Reykdal.
