Pallbearers were Stanley Blazey, Joseph Micek, Frank Bogus, John Radke, George Kosch, and Steve Kwiatkowski. Burial was in the Mount Carmel cemetery at Paplin. The Rev. Anthony Figlerski officiated at the cemetery.
Mr. Krance, son of Lawrence and Susanna Krance, was born at Cleveland, O., on Dec. 31, 1875.
He came with his parents to Howard county in 1885, settling on a farm in the Paplin community. On Sept. 25, 1899, he married Miss Katherine Janc at Farwell. They continued to live in the Paplin community until 1934 when they retired and moved into St. Paul.
Last April 7 he fractured an arm and had been confined to his bed since. He became ill very unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 29, and died very soon after, aged 77 years, eight months, and 28 days. Mr. and Mrs. Krance had celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1949.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two daughters, Mrs. Nellie Kosmicki in 1950 and Lucy May in 1901; a son, Leo, in 1920; a brother, the Rev. John A. Krance; a sister, Sister M. Zigmunda; and a half-brother, Ignac Pawloski.
He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Blanche Rein of Osceola; three sons, Lawrence of Central City; Sylvester James of Osceola, and Edwin of Omaha; 15 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Paul A. Glazik of Omaha; a half-sister, Sister M. Sophia of Lafayett, Ind; and a half-brother, Frank.
