Emma Chalfant Dies In Muncie; Rites Saturday.

Mrs. Emma Chalfant, 70, widow of Finley Chalfant, died Thursday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Tessie Dudley, of Muncie.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Dudley, Mrs. William Clevenger of Selma, Mrs. Earl James of Farmland, and Mrs. Clarence Mason, of Winchester; three sons, Shirley of Parker, Earl of Muncie, and Marvin of Parker.

The funeral was conducted at the Union church at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon with Rev. Harvey Thornburg in charge. Burial was in the Union cemetery.
