Funeral services for Bennie Joe Bonjo, 49, of Bryan will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hillier Funeral Home. The Rev, Ray Stradling of Calvary Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Smetana Cemetery. Visiting hours will be from 7-10 tonight and from 8 a.m. until service time Wednesday. Mr. Bonjo died Sunday morning in a Houston hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Bryan, where he was an auto mechanic and a member of First Free Will Baptist Church, now Fellowship Free Will Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Bennie Bonjo; and his brother, Johnny Edward Bonjo. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Randy Threadgill of Bryan; a sister and brother-in-law, Mildred Marie and Gary Marshe of Bryan; and his mother, Mrs. Bennie Bonjo of Bryan.
