Dennis Harvey Prince 95, of Hominy, Oklahoma passed away February 1, 2011 at Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Dennis was born July 26, 1915 in Savannah, Tennessee to Solon T. and Cathryn (Moore) Prince.

He graduated from Clinton Public Schools. Dennis married Almetia Tapp on April 10, 1944; they had been married for 66 years. They moved to Hominy in 1954, he was a long time member of Hominy, First Baptist Church. Dennis was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 63 years in Marietta, Oklahoma. Dennis worked in construction before going to work for the U.S. Government. He retired as the Hominy Postmaster; he worked for the Post Office for 27 years.

Dennis is survived by his wife Almetia of the home; four sons; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and one brother.

Dennis was preceded in by his parents, 4 grandchildren- Clyde & Dennis Prince, Andrea Bone, and Kali Prince; and 2 sisters.

Funeral Services were Monday, February 7, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Hominy at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Mark Formby officiating. Vocalists were Sonia Brown- "I'll Fly Away" and Daylon Carruthers- "Go Rest High on That Mountain".

Burial was in the A.J. Powell Cemetery with concluding service under the Pavilion.

Arrangements were made with the Powell Funeral Home, Hominy, Oklahoma.
